Stop?

Should I give up photography? Is it time to get a ‘real’ job? There has been a recent spate of discussions online about that very question. And every photographer, or artist of any genre, has at one point or another in times of difficulty pondered the idea of giving up, sometimes on numerous occasions. The answer from mentors and the supportive will usually be to ‘Never Give Up’, to follow your heart and passion, and to pursue your dreams. But how honest or realistic is it to listen to that advice and persevere in the hopes that luck and fortune will change one day?

We, photographers and artists are by default and DNA, highly emotional individuals. Our life choices are made not on logic, but emotions. Not giving up is a difficult choice to make. Giving up is even more difficult. But each and every photographer and artist faced with the question has a responsibility to be his/her own Simon Cowell, brutally honest Idol judge. You need to ask yourself in all sincere honesty, not only how good and masterful you think you are at your craft, but how realistic your chances are of success should you not give up, and what implications does it have for you as a person, or others that rely on you for support. For every one photographer that gives up, there are probably nine others that are giving in to replace him or her. Competition is very tough these days. Masterful photographers are plentiful. Photography commissions are declining rapidly. Am I really good at what I do? Am I better than good? Do respectable peers think the same? Have I tried my very best? Do I have the will power, vision, resources and support network to convert my good into a feasible career and living?

An alternative to giving up entirely is to reconsider the path to your passion, to define your area of interest and circumnavigate a blunt obvious route to your dreams. There are invariably other options and paths to doing what you love, and to loving what you do.

OMG!!!! I'm 21!!!!!

YO!!!!

Oh noooooo!!!! I'm old~~ I'm 21!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Well, its not that bad as it sounds, I was suppose to post this a few weeks back but I was a little bit busy with college stuff and so on.
So now is the time since I can't sleep.
On the day of my birthday, I planned to just go around the whole Penang with Looi since I was not doing anything or celebrating it at home.
We 1st went to find out information about taking driving license, after that, we went to Gurney to do some stuff and then headed to Queensbay for lunch.
We went to TGI Friday for lunch and it was on her!!!
What a surprise right??? It turned out to be my birthday lunch >.<
After we done eating, when we was about to leave, almost all the staff from the restaurant came to our table to wish me Happy Birthday.
OMG!!! I was so shock!!!
They did those shouting wishes and even made me give a speech.
I was so shock, touched and totally lost of words.
No one had ever done something like this for me for quite a long time.
I really appreciate everything and all the trouble you had go through to make this happen =)
 After lunch we went to PISA for the education fair. We scout around for few colleges and then headed to Prangin to get Looi's hair done. After that, we had dinner and the last stop of the day was the LOMO shop.

I'm so happy to write this post!! =)

The last time I went to Amelie's Cafe, I promise to take AJ the next time I'm there, and so I did. 

We went there last Saturday(12-02-2011). 

Amazingly the menu for that day was more compare to my last visit.

 We both had pasta. After that, we went to 1st Avenue for Chatime!!! 

I also received my 1st present for this year!!! 

I totally love it and its just what I needed!!! Thanks a lot girl!!! I will keep it forever!!! Its the best!!!

Celebrating Sem break Vikram style =P

YO!!!

How y'all doing??? I just officially ended my sem break!!

 Well, almost la.. still got a few more days to go and I'm back at Penang!!! 

The main reason I went to KL is obvious la... SHOPPING!!!!

Well not all the things I got, but I was satisfied.

I also work with Uncle Harry at KLIA. It was stressful and fun at the same time.

I'm kinda lazy to put all the 3 weeks event into here. 

So lets make the pictures do the talking shall we?

Oh ya.. I didn't brought my camera, all the shots were taken by my hp. So... just bare with it la =)

The moment I came to KL I meet up with my BFF!!! AJ~~ and Corrine at Subang Empire!!

Next, I finally got my taste on snowflakes!!! It was awesome!!!

 I eventually went there almost everyday. xD

After that, we went to Asia Cafe, my usual hang out place... 

They love the place... hahahaha!!!

For that weekend I spent it at Genting... Nothing really special. Same as always.

The following week is more on work. So everyday was work, go snowflake then sleep.

There was one day where I had to go back to Penang to deliver something to a customer.

This was the Airbase at Butterworth... freaking cool!!!

On the way back I saw this~~~

As for Chinese New Year, as usual, we spent it at Genting. The weather this year was so good!!!

Got my fourth Ang Pau on the way up there =P

I spent most of the time at Starbucks to online.

After trying various kind of drinks, my favourite has to be the Hazelnut Hot Chocolate =)

I also got a chance to watch the lion dance performance..

They were totally awesome!!!

On the day to go back, we decide to take the cable car down

The view was spectacular... but my heart was beating so fast at the start.. hahaha =/

After Chinese New year, it was back to the same as usual.

The next thing to look forward for was my results!!!

Just the day before my results was out, I found out something shocking yet happy at the same time. 

I don't wanna talk about it here since I've already blogged about it at my tumblr and another blogger account.

My results was not what I expected, but I'm happy because I thought I'll fail =)

After I got my results I received another good news!!!

 As a reward for good results, I was given a chance to get a new desktop!!!!

This is just the down part of the CPU =.= Was too excited to take pictures at that time. LOL!!!

A few days later, it was time to head back to Penang

Got ready since 8am that morning.. LOL

Got a few bottles for friends back at Penang.. hope they love it =)

Well, the things I wanted to buy soooo badly was a pair of shoes... I finally got it!! I got a pair of Supra,

although it cost a fortune, but I love it =)

will upload the full shoe for my next post =P

 I still left a watch, a wallet, and my perfume to go... aizz.. .

Hope to get this all by next week before school reopen... 

but I only got money for one of this... hahahaha!!!

 OK la.. thats it I think.... my next post will be this weekend.. stay tuned =)

Relationship

"Hey!!! what happen between you and her?"

Well to be honest, I don't really know how to answer all of you. Its been months since I last talk to her. I felt bad at the beginning. Everyday is really a suffer. But no matter how we have to move on right? Well, right now, I guess there is a little bit improvement. I still miss her her from time to time but there is nothing I can do. All I can now is just pray and hope things go good for her.

As you see my previous post, I did tried a new relationship with Alexis. It was only for like a couple of weeks... She was really my kind of girl. But somehow I just didn't think it'll last long. So I break up before things get deep. Lucky she did understand about it. Anyway, whats done is done and its time to move on...

Am I getting in a new relationship soon??? Nah... I don't think so. Plus, I think I might as well stay single forever. That might just be the best thing right now. Alright... thats all for this post. the more I write the worst it gets. Its just feels good to type it out here. Its hard to find friends to talk too since most of them are busy or away. Will update again by this weekend if possible... got to go... bye~~

Sony Alpha Outing with KY dudes~ Model: Shin Chiou

YO!!!

Hey all!!! yesterday was like my 1st time doing photo shooting with other people. Most of them are my colleagues from KY Digital. There was a total of 9 photographers including me and also one who recorded video. I recommended Shin Chiou to be our model for that day. As expected, she was wonderful!!! Well, lets just make the pictures do the talking shall we? =)

Well, there are many more pictures this are what i think are the best shots =) I would really like to thank the members of KY Digital for teaching a lot of things which I really didn't focus on previously. It was really a great lesson!!! Thanks!!!
